State Farm Stadium sits just 12 miles from downtown Goodyear — close enough that it looks easy on a map, and far enough from the Loop 101 offramps that game-day traffic turns that 12 miles into something else entirely. When 63,400 fans converge on 1 Cardinals Drive for an Arizona Cardinals home opener or a stadium concert, the stretch of Loop 101 between Cardinals Way and Glendale Avenue backs up well before kickoff, and the scramble for parking in Sportsman's Park starts from the moment the lots open four hours out. A Goodyear charter bus rental cuts through every piece of that — your group loads together, rides together, and steps off steps from the gates while everyone else is still circling the Blue Lot looking for a space.
This guide answers the questions that most transportation pages skip: exactly where an oversized vehicle parks, what the Lot F permit costs and how to get it, where rideshare actually drops you (and why it isn't close), and which approach roads to use from Goodyear versus the East Valley. The event calendar section names the six dates per year when parking demand genuinely spikes and booking a bus early becomes the difference between $75 and a sold-out fleet. Why a Bus Changes the Game-Day Equation at State Farm Stadium
The arithmetic of driving a group to State Farm Stadium is straightforward, and it does not favor the carpool. Standard game-day parking in the complimentary lots — Orange, Green, Blue, Pink, Purple Garage, Black, and Yellow — is free, but it runs on a first-come basis and fills fast on sellout Sundays. Preferred parking in the Red and Grey Lots runs $500 per season pass, cash or credit card, with no day-of option.
The entire venue is cashless. Miss the window, and you're parking in overflow on surface streets west of 99th Avenue and walking 20-plus minutes to the gates in 105-degree September heat.
Rideshare solves the driving problem but creates a new one: the designated rideshare and drop-off area is the Black Lot, south of the stadium. That is the official pick-up and drop-off zone for Uber, Lyft, and family drop-offs alike. It is not curbside at the gates — it puts you in a parking lot south of the stadium with a walk to the entrance still ahead.
Post-game, surge pricing on rideshare apps at State Farm Stadium is one of the most consistent complaints in the West Valley, with wait times stretching 30 to 45 minutes after the final whistle when 60,000-plus people all open the app at once.
A bus from Goodyear Party Bus sidesteps both problems. Your group loads at one pickup point — a hotel on Litchfield Road, your neighborhood, Goodyear Ballpark, wherever makes sense — and the route is handled for you along I-10 East to Loop 101 North to the Lot F approach. Nobody draws straws for who stays sober, nobody splits the group into four different rideshare cars, and nobody pays $20 to store a bag at the gate because it does not fit the clear-bag policy.
One vehicle, one flat price, one pickup after the game. Call 480-546-5017 to lock in your date.
Charter Bus Drop-Off and Parking at State Farm Stadium
Here is the detail that first-timers miss — and the one that determines whether your group arrives together at the gates or scattered across Glendale. Oversized vehicles at State Farm Stadium have their own dedicated lot with a specific entry sequence, and it is separate from every standard passenger lot.
Field Lot F: The Oversized Vehicle Lot
Charter buses, large vans, and all oversized vehicles park in Field Lot F, located in the southeast corner of the stadium complex. The lot opens 4 hours and 30 minutes before kickoff — 30 minutes earlier than standard parking. Maximum vehicle length is 45 feet, which accommodates every full-size motorcoach in our lineup.
The approach to Lot F uses a specific route: travel to the intersection of 6250 North Road and 91st Avenue, then follow the on-site signage east along 6250 North Road to the Field Lot entrance in the southeast corner. Do not try to navigate to the stadium via Cardinals Way or Glendale Avenue on game day — those corridors funnel passenger vehicles into different lots entirely, and oversized vehicles routed that way create a real mess at the lot-entry attendant booths. The 6250 North Road approach is the correct entry for Lot F.
One non-negotiable detail: every oversized vehicle must have a pre-purchased Lot F Oversized Vehicle mobile parking permit. Permits are available through the Cardinals mobile app or at azcardinals.com and cost $75 per game. There is no day-of purchase option — the permit is checked digitally at the lot entrance, and vehicles without a valid pass are turned away.
This is the single piece of planning that catches groups off guard most often. When you book with Party Bus Goodyear, making sure that Lot F permit is taken care of is part of the conversation at booking, so there is no scramble the morning of the game.
The one-line version: Field Lot F, southeast corner, enter via 6250 North Road off 91st Avenue, $75 pre-purchased permit required — no walk-up permits sold at the gate. One pass, one vehicle, one space. Book the permit when you book the bus.
Where Passengers Drop Off
For groups that want curbside drop-off before the vehicle moves to Lot F, the Black Lot on the south side of the stadium is the designated drop-off and pickup area for rideshare and guest vehicles. A bus can use that same zone to unload passengers steps closer to the stadium entrance, then proceed to Lot F for the duration of the event. Talk through whether you want a curbside drop-off loop or a direct Lot F arrival when you book — the answer usually depends on how much tailgate time your group wants and how far the walk from Lot F to the gate feels with your particular crowd.
Getting There: Routes and Drive Times From Goodyear and the West Valley
State Farm Stadium sits at the intersection of the Glendale sports and entertainment district — Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway between Cardinals Way and Glendale Avenue — which is straightforward to reach from Goodyear but requires specific exit discipline on game days when Glendale's surface streets fill up fast.
| From… | Approx. distance | Typical off-peak drive time | Standard route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goodyear (downtown area) | ~12 miles | 13–18 minutes | I-10 East to Loop 101 North; exit Cardinals Way |
| Avondale / Litchfield Park | ~14 miles | 15–22 minutes | I-10 East to Loop 101 North; exit Glendale Ave or Cardinals Way |
| Surprise / Sun City West | ~18 miles | 20–30 minutes | Loop 303 South to Loop 101 South; exit Glendale Ave |
| Peoria / Glendale (west side) | ~8–15 miles | 12–20 minutes | Loop 101 South; exit Cardinals Way or Glendale Ave |
| Downtown Phoenix | ~15 miles | 20–30 minutes | I-10 West to Loop 101 North; or Grand Ave to 99th Ave |
| Chandler / Gilbert / Tempe | ~25–35 miles | 30–45 minutes | Loop 202 South Mountain to I-10 West, or Loop 101 North all the way |
| Scottsdale / North Phoenix | ~30–40 miles | 35–50 minutes | Loop 101 West directly; avoid I-10 merge downtown |
Those times reflect normal weekday traffic. On Cardinals home game days, add 20 to 45 minutes to anything that involves Loop 101 northbound between the I-10 interchange and Glendale Avenue. The Arizona Department of Transportation issues Loop 101 ramp-closure advisories for major events — some ramps near the stadium close entirely on Thursday night games and playoff dates.
For real-time updates on game day, dial 511 and press *7 for the Cardinals traffic line.
Groups coming from the East Valley have one important routing note: traffic planners recommend the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway as an alternative to I-10 through downtown Phoenix when heading west toward Glendale. The merge from I-10 West onto Loop 101 North is one of the worst bottlenecks in the metro on Cardinals Sundays.
Understanding State Farm Stadium's Lot System
State Farm Stadium uses a color-coded lot system across 12 primary parking areas in Sportsman's Park. Knowing which lot color means what tells you where to direct guests, where tailgating is concentrated, and why the lot your group's bus is parked in affects how quickly you get out after the game.
- Complimentary lots (Orange, Green, Blue, Pink, Purple Garage, Black, Yellow): Available at no additional charge with a game ticket. Fill fastest near kickoff. Enter from Glendale Avenue or Cardinals Way off Loop 101, or via surface streets at 91st and 99th Avenues.
- Preferred lots (Red and Grey): Season-pass holders only at $500 per season. Entry exclusively at Maryland Avenue and 95th Avenue — a dedicated access point that bypasses the general lot approach roads.
- Field Lot F (oversized vehicles): Charter buses, RVs, and all vehicles over standard passenger-car dimensions. $75 per game permit, pre-purchased. Enter via 91st Avenue and 6250 North Road. Opens 4.5 hours before kickoff.
- Black Lot: Doubles as the rideshare and guest drop-off zone on the south side of the stadium. Useful for curbside drop-off before the bus proceeds to Lot F.
Sportsman's Park also includes specialty areas like Casa Roja At The Fifty by Lexus and the Casita Garden Club, which are premium tailgate zones tied to specific hospitality packages. The alcohol-free tailgate zone is located in the East Green carpark — worth knowing if any members of your group are looking for that option. We recommend reviewing the official Arizona Cardinals parking and directions page before your event to confirm current lot assignments and any event-specific changes.
Bus vs. Every Other Option: The Honest Comparison
We handle West Valley group transportation every week, and State Farm Stadium is one of our most-requested destinations. Here is a clear-eyed look at every realistic option for a group — including the ones that make more sense than a bus for certain situations.
| Option | Cost shape | Arrive together? | Drop-off point | Drinking / tailgating | Best group size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private charter bus | One flat rate, split by the group | Yes — one vehicle, one arrival | Black Lot curbside or Lot F with tailgate setup | Yes — no one stuck staying sober | 15–56 |
| Everyone drives, complimentary lots | Free parking, but gas per car | No — caravans split | Varies by lot; can be a long walk | One person per car stays sober | 1–2 cars |
| Rideshare (Uber / Lyft) | Per car each way + post-game surge | No — multiple cars, staggered ETAs | Black Lot, south side | Yes, but expensive at scale | 1–4 per car |
| Valley Metro Route 70 bus | $2/person fare | Only if boarding the same bus | 95th Ave & Glendale Ave — ~5-min walk to stadium | No | Any, but no group control |
The honest read: for one or two people, Valley Metro's Route 70 stops at 95th Avenue and Glendale Avenue — a five-minute walk to the stadium gates — and costs $2. That is genuinely the best option for a solo fan or a couple willing to navigate public transit timing. The moment your party grows to four or more cars' worth of people, the hassle of coordinating and the post-game rideshare surge tips decisively toward one bus.
Forty people in one vehicle at $150 to $200 per hour beats 40 people across ten rideshare cars at $25 to $40 each way — with change left over and nobody stranded at the Black Lot for 45 minutes after the final whistle.
What Size Bus Does Your Group Need?
State Farm Stadium trips run the full range of group sizes, from a 20-person office outing to a 56-passenger fan group that fills a full-size motorcoach. The right vehicle is the one that seats everyone without paying for seats you do not actually need — and has enough amenity for the event type.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Gear / luggage | Best for | Key amenities |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14-passenger Sprinter limo / Sprinter van | Up to 14 | Light — coolers, bags | Suite holders, small corporate groups, VIP arrivals | Premium leather, USB charging, tinted privacy windows |
| Party bus (15–50 passengers) | 15–50 | Onboard, lighter | Fan groups, bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations at the game | Built-in bar, color-changing LED lighting, Bluetooth sound, flat-panel TVs, dance floor area |
| 15–35 passenger minibus | 15–35 | Overhead storage plus some underfloor | Mid-size groups, company outings, school groups | Powerful A/C, plush reclining seats, overhead bins |
| 40–56 passenger charter bus | Up to 56 | Excellent — full undercarriage bays | Large fan groups, corporate suites, tournament travel, school field trips | Reclining seats, climate control, WiFi, power outlets, onboard restroom, undercarriage bays |
For fan groups wanting the game-day energy to start the moment the bus pulls away from Goodyear, a 15- to 50-passenger party bus comes loaded with a full bar, LED lighting, and a premium sound system. That is the ride where the tailgate starts before the lot even opens. For larger outings — corporate groups shuttling from Westgate hotels, school trips, or fan buses with full tailgate setups — a full-size charter bus handles the undercarriage gear (folding tables, coolers, shade canopies) and keeps 56 people comfortable on the I-10 run over.
ADA-accessible vehicles are available in our lineup; just let us know your needs before your event date.
Charter Bus Prices for State Farm Stadium Runs
Party Bus Goodyear gives you all-inclusive pricing online in under 30 seconds — the exact number before you ever commit. No surprise add-ons at the end. Pricing for a State Farm Stadium trip is shaped by four variables:
- Vehicle size — a 56-passenger motorcoach and a 14-passenger Sprinter limo are different rates.
- Total hours — how long the vehicle is dedicated to your group, including the pre-game tailgate window and the post-game wait for departures to clear.
- Date and event type — a regular-season Sunday prices differently than the Fiesta Bowl or a stadium concert weekend when West Valley demand peaks.
- Pickup location and mileage — a Goodyear pickup is a short run; groups coming from Scottsdale or the East Valley add mileage.
Current ranges to anchor your estimate: 14-passenger Sprinter limos run $170–$344/hour; small party buses (15–20 passengers) run $204–$378/hour; mid-size party buses (20–30 passengers) run $244–$414/hour; larger party buses and minibuses (35–50 passengers) run $294–$490/hour; and full-size charter buses run $150–$300/hour or $1,200–$2,500/day. Weekend events and peak-season dates run toward the top of those ranges.
Here is the per-person math that closes the argument: a 56-passenger charter bus at $2,400 for an 8-hour game-day rental comes out to about $43 per person for a group of 56. That is less than two rideshare trips each way, and it includes the tailgate setup time and the post-game pickup — with no surge pricing at 11 p.m. when everyone walks out at once. A Real Game-Day Run From Goodyear
For a Sunday afternoon Cardinals home game last October, a 34-person fan group from the Estrella Mountain Ranch area booked a 40-passenger party bus. Pickup at 9:30 AM from a neighborhood park-and-ride off Estrella Parkway, at the stadium's Lot F by 10:15 AM — four hours before a 2:05 PM kickoff. The undercarriage compartments handled two canopy tents, a folding table, and a pair of coolers.
The group tailgated through 1:30 PM, walked to the gates, and the bus waited nearby for a 5:30 PM post-game pickup after the lots cleared. The 9-hour all-inclusive rental came to $2,100 — about $62 per person, with the Lot F permit included in the coordination and no one stuck staying sober for the whole afternoon.
When State Farm Stadium Gets Complicated: The Annual Events That Fill Parking Fast
State Farm Stadium is a year-round machine. The Arizona Cardinals home season is the anchor, but the calendar stacks concerts, bowl games, motorsports, and special events on top of it — and six of those dates per year are when the parking and rideshare situation gets genuinely painful and booking a bus early goes from smart to necessary.
Arizona Cardinals Home Season (September–January)
The 2026 regular season brings six Cardinals home games, including matchups against the Seattle Seahawks (September 20), Detroit Lions (October 11), Denver Broncos (October 25), Los Angeles Rams (November 15), Washington Commanders (November 29), and Philadelphia Eagles (December 6). Thursday night games are the worst for commuters — Loop 101 northbound fills with office traffic and fans simultaneously, and the ADOT typically issues ramp-closure advisories for 101 exits near the stadium. The 2025 season traffic reports documented heavy westbound I-10 and north-south 101 congestion starting as early as 3 hours before kickoff on big matchups.
Book your Cardinals game bus at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance for regular-season dates; hot games with division rivals or nationally televised matchups go faster.
Fiesta Bowl / College Football Playoff Quarterfinal (December 30, 2026)
The Fiesta Bowl brings the College Football Playoff to Glendale on December 30, 2026, and it draws fan bases from outside Arizona who are not familiar with the Loop 101 approach. The entire Westgate Entertainment District fills up with pre-game crowds, and parking demand is significantly higher than a standard Cardinals game because out-of-state visitors are more likely to pay premium rates rather than navigate the complimentary lot system. Plan for tighter vehicle availability across the Phoenix metro in late December.
Book your Fiesta Bowl bus by October to secure the right vehicle and rate.
Usher & Chris Brown Concert (September 29, 2026)
The R&B Tour at State Farm Stadium on September 29, 2026 is a stadium-scale concert event — the kind where every parking lot opens to general sale and rideshare surge pricing spikes to 3x or 4x at show's end. Concert nights at State Farm Stadium close Cardinals Way and Glendale Avenue to through traffic earlier than NFL games, and the post-show exit from Sportsman's Park can stretch 45 to 60 minutes. A bus cuts out the exit wait entirely — your group loads while the lot clears and leaves when the road is moving again.
Ed Sheeran Concert (June 13, 2026)
Stadium concerts in Arizona's June heat — up to 115°F at the time that afternoon transitions to evening — mean your group is on foot in the parking lot during the most punishing part of the day. The stadium's retractable roof closes for summer concerts, but the walk from the Lot F southeast corner to the gates is exposed. A bus from Goodyear drops your group at the Black Lot south-side curbside drop-off, minimizing the outdoor exposure entirely.
Lot F permit demand for concert dates is lighter than for NFL games, but the $75 pass is still required for any oversized vehicle.
Monster Energy AMA Supercross (February 7, 2026)
Supercross at State Farm Stadium draws a distinctly different crowd than Cardinals games — and fills a different cross-section of the West Valley fan base. Goodyear, Buckeye, and Surprise fans who ride or follow motocross make up a significant share of the Supercross crowd. With the stadium floor converted to a dirt track and the surrounding area running at capacity, the February 7 event is a solid group-outing occasion.
Lot assignments and entry procedures for Supercross differ from NFL events; check the official State Farm Stadium events page for specific parking details for the event date.
Arizona Super Show (February 28, 2026)
The Arizona Super Show brings the trade show crowd to the stadium complex and surrounding Westgate area in late February. Groups coordinating trade-show attendance often benefit from a minibus shuttle loop between Westgate hotels and the stadium rather than individual cars — the parking situation around Westgate during multi-day events makes moving between venues frustrating without one central vehicle.
Tailgating at State Farm Stadium: What the Rules Actually Say
A charter bus is the ideal tailgate vehicle. The undercarriage bays handle the canopy tents, folding tables, and coolers that would not survive a rideshare ride, and nobody draws straws for who drives home. But Sportsman's Park enforces real tailgating rules, and a group that shows up expecting a free-for-all will get corrected quickly by parking staff.
Here is what the official Cardinals tailgating guidelines actually say:
- Tailgating hours are pre-kickoff only. Lots open four hours before game time. Tailgating must stop at kickoff — no post-game tailgating is permitted.
- Your space, your perimeter. Tailgating is limited to the area directly in front of or behind your vehicle. Tents and gear cannot extend beyond the red painted fire lanes, sidewalks, or painted walkways. You get one space — not a setup that spills over into your neighbors' spots.
- Gas and propane grills only. Natural gas and propane grills and heaters are permitted. Charcoal, pellet grills, and oil fryers are not. This is a hard rule enforced by parking staff. Keep flames under control and never position heaters or grills under a tent.
- Small generators allowed. Portable electric generators of 6,500 watts or less are permitted, but electrical cords cannot cross drive aisles, sidewalks, or any path where they create a trip hazard.
- No glass containers. Glass bottles and containers are prohibited in all parking areas.
- The alcohol-free zone is in the East Green carpark. If any members of your group prefer that environment, it is a specifically designated option.
- Sportsman's Park is ticketed-guest only. Tailgating in the main stadium parking areas requires a valid game-day ticket. This is enforced on busy games.
The practical read for a bus group: the Lot F position in the southeast corner is a workable tailgate spot with reasonable separation from the rest of the stadium complex. Your bus fits the gear in the undercarriage, your group sets up the perimeter behind the vehicle, and the propane grill and shade canopy come out without violating any fire-lane boundaries. Plan your teardown for 30 to 45 minutes before kickoff so everything is stowed before the lot transitions to directed parking mode.
Getting Out After the Game or Concert
Exiting State Farm Stadium is the variable nobody budgets for until the first time they sit in a Sportsman's Park lot for 55 minutes watching brake lights. With 63,000-plus fans routing toward Loop 101 simultaneously, the freeway backs up to a near standstill on event exits — ADOT's Loop 101 is one of the consistently congested corridors in the Phoenix metro after major events. Rideshare surge prices spike within minutes of the final whistle, and the Black Lot rideshare pickup zone fills with people waiting as long as 45 minutes for a car.
With a bus, your group sets a pickup window before they ever walk in. The bus waits nearby — your bus team knows the post-game flow and times the lot exit to avoid the first 20 to 30 minutes of the heaviest congestion. Your group walks out, loads up, and heads west on I-10 toward Goodyear while everyone else is still hunting for their Uber at the Black Lot.
That is the piece of the trip that makes groups who do it once book every game the same way after that. Call 480-546-5017 to arrange your post-game pickup window when you reserve.
Valley Metro and Public Transit Options
State Farm Stadium does not sit on the Valley Metro Light Rail line — the westernmost relevant light rail connection is the Desert Sky Transit Center at 79th Avenue and McDowell Road, where a Cardinals-game-day-only shuttle operates to the stadium. The more direct public transit option is Valley Metro Route 70, which runs along Glendale Avenue and stops at 95th Avenue, about a five-minute walk from the stadium gates. Bus fare is $2.
From the East Valley, riders can combine light rail westbound to the 19th Avenue and Montebello station, then Route 60 westbound to the 95th Avenue and Glendale stop. The total journey from a light rail origination in Tempe or Mesa is roughly 75 to 90 minutes each way. For game-day planning info, Valley Metro maintains a dedicated game day page with route-specific guidance updated per season.
The honest summary: for one or two people originating along the Route 70 corridor, Valley Metro is genuinely sensible. For a group of 15 or more with any amount of tailgate gear, coordinating public transit from Goodyear — a city that sits well off the Route 70 alignment — adds 2.5 hours of transit time each way. A bus from Goodyear to State Farm Stadium is 13 minutes.
There is no comparison.
Flying in for a Cardinals Game or Stadium Concert?
Groups flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) for a Cardinals game or major concert have a fast connection to Glendale by bus. Sky Harbor sits roughly 17 miles southeast of State Farm Stadium — about 25 to 35 minutes without game-day traffic, and up to 50 minutes once Loop 101 backs up heading west. The standard route is I-10 West to Loop 101 North.
A single bus collects your whole group at the Sky Harbor Terminal 4 baggage claim area (the most common terminal for domestic arrivals) and runs straight to the stadium or to a Westgate hotel, so your group isn't split across multiple rideshare cars on arrival day. For groups flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor and heading west to Glendale, we handle that airport-to-stadium transfer the same way we handle it for any game-day run — one vehicle, one pickup, one flat quote. Call 480-546-5017 to coordinate the Sky Harbor connection with your game-day schedule.
What Brings Groups to State Farm Stadium
Different reasons, same logistics challenge. A few of the runs we set up to State Farm Stadium most often from the Goodyear area:
- Arizona Cardinals fan groups and season-ticket holder parties. From the Estrella Ranch and Wigwam neighborhoods through Avondale and Litchfield Park, the West Valley's Cardinals fan base is deep. A party bus from Goodyear to the game means the pregame energy starts on I-10.
- Corporate suite and client entertainment groups. Companies using the Cardinals' suite and club level for client events move people from Westgate hotels or Phoenix office campuses to the stadium without anyone worrying about parking passes or the post-event exit. Sprinter vans and minibuses handle the executive look at smaller headcounts.
- Birthday and milestone celebration outings. A Cardinals game or a stadium concert doubles as a milestone birthday event for groups who want the party bus experience from Goodyear's front door to the stadium gates and back.
- Concert groups. Stadium concerts at State Farm Stadium — Usher, Ed Sheeran, and the stadium-scale touring acts that fill Glendale annually — where a party bus from Goodyear means the party starts before the opening act and the return trip does not involve surge pricing at midnight.
- School and youth group sporting trips. College and high school groups touring major-league NFL venues or attending games as part of organized athletic programs. Full-size charter buses with onboard restrooms handle the longer headcount and the extended day.
Booking Your Bus: What You Need to Know Before You Call
Booking a charter bus or party bus to State Farm Stadium is straightforward, and the earlier you lock it in, the better the rate and vehicle selection:
- Get a quote with your group size, pickup location in Goodyear or the West Valley, event date, and roughly how many hours you need — including tailgate time.
- Confirm the vehicle and the Lot F permit. We verify that the correct oversized vehicle permit is in the plan for your date, so there is no turned-away vehicle at the lot entrance.
- Set your post-game pickup window. Tell us what time you want the bus waiting after the event so your group is loaded and moving while the lot is still clearing out.
Lead time matters most on the peak dates named above. For a regular-season Cardinals game on a weekend with no other major West Valley events, two to three weeks of lead time is workable. For the Fiesta Bowl on December 30, the Usher concert on September 29, and any Thursday night nationally televised Cardinals game, the right-size vehicles in our network book out faster.
Book those dates as soon as your tickets are confirmed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where does a charter bus drop off at State Farm Stadium?
Charter buses have two options: a curbside drop-off at the Black Lot on the south side of the stadium (the same zone used by rideshare and guest drop-offs), after which the bus proceeds to Lot F, or a direct arrival into Field Lot F in the southeast corner for groups that want the tailgate setup time. Lot F is the designated oversized vehicle area, entered via 91st Avenue and 6250 North Road. The right approach depends on whether your group wants curbside drop-off or a full tailgate setup — something we sort out when you book.
Where do buses park at State Farm Stadium?
Buses and all oversized vehicles park in Field Lot F, located in the southeast corner of the Sportsman's Park complex. Entry is via 91st Avenue to 6250 North Road, following on-site signage to the lot entrance. Maximum vehicle length is 45 feet.
The lot opens 4 hours and 30 minutes before kickoff. A $75 pre-purchased Lot F Oversized Vehicle permit is mandatory — available through the Cardinals mobile app or at azcardinals.com — and no day-of purchase is available at the gate.
Does a charter bus need a parking permit at State Farm Stadium?
Yes. Every oversized vehicle requires a pre-purchased Lot F Oversized Vehicle mobile parking permit at $75 per game, valid for one vehicle and one parking space. The permit is checked digitally at the lot entrance — vehicles without a valid pass are turned away.
Purchase through the Cardinals app or azcardinals.com in advance. When you book with Party Bus Goodyear, taking care of that permit is part of what we go over before your event.
How much does it cost to rent a bus to State Farm Stadium from Goodyear?
Pricing depends on vehicle size, total hours (including tailgate time and post-game wait), the event date, and pickup location. As a guide: 14-passenger Sprinter limos run $170–$344/hour; small party buses (15–20 passengers) run $204–$378/hour; mid-size party buses (20–30 passengers) run $244–$414/hour; larger party buses and minibuses (35–50 passengers) run $294–$490/hour; and full-size charter buses run $150–$300/hour or $1,200–$2,500/day. Weekend dates and peak events like the Fiesta Bowl and stadium concerts price toward the higher end.
Call 480-546-5017 or use our online tool for an all-inclusive quote in under 30 seconds.
What are the tailgating rules at State Farm Stadium?
Tailgating is permitted from lot open (4 hours before kickoff) until kickoff only — no post-game tailgating. Each group must stay within the area directly in front of or behind their vehicle. Gas and propane grills are permitted; charcoal and pellet grills are not.
Small generators (6,500W or less) are allowed with cords kept out of drive aisles. Glass containers are prohibited. The alcohol-free tailgate zone is in the East Green carpark.
See the official Cardinals tailgating page for the complete guidelines.
What is the bag policy at State Farm Stadium?
State Farm Stadium enforces the NFL clear-bag policy. Each guest may bring one clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag no larger than 12″ × 12″ × 6″ (or a one-gallon clear freezer bag), plus one small clutch no larger than 4.5″ × 6.5″ × 2″. Backpacks, fanny packs, and any bag larger than the permissible size are prohibited.
Mobile Bag Check is available outside the stadium perimeter for $20 per non-compliant bag. See the full State Farm Stadium clear bag policy.
What roads close around State Farm Stadium on game days?
Loop 101 ramp closures near the stadium are common on major events — particularly for Thursday night games, playoff dates, and major concerts. Glendale Avenue and Cardinals Way experience lane restrictions from police-directed traffic management on high-attendance days. The Loop 101 Agua Fria and I-10 interchange is the most reliably congested point heading toward the stadium.
For game-day road closure advisories, dial 511 and press *7 for the Arizona Cardinals traffic line, or check AZ Family for event-day traffic reports.
Is there public transit from Goodyear to State Farm Stadium?
There is no direct public transit link from Goodyear to State Farm Stadium. Valley Metro Route 70 stops at 95th Avenue and Glendale Avenue — a five-minute walk from the stadium — but that route does not serve Goodyear directly. Getting to a Route 70 stop from Goodyear by public transit takes approximately 2.5 hours with connections.
For a group originating in Goodyear, a charter bus is 13 minutes by comparison. Valley Metro maintains a game day page with route information for riders who are already on the Route 70 or light rail corridor.
Can the bus stay for the whole game and tailgate?
Yes. The bus is booked as a block of hours, which includes the pre-game tailgate window in Lot F and the post-game wait. Your group loads up after the event at an agreed pickup time, so nobody is scrambling for rideshares or waiting in a surge-priced queue at the Black Lot.
Set the post-game window at booking so the timing is confirmed and your group knows exactly where to find the bus when they walk out.
Do you have ADA-accessible vehicles?
Yes — ADA-accessible vehicles are available in our lineup. Let us know your specific needs before your event date and we will arrange the right vehicle for your group.

The West Valley has one of the strongest Cardinals fan bases in the Phoenix metro, and State Farm Stadium is 12 miles from downtown Goodyear. That is close enough to make game-day transportation easy — and far enough that 63,000 fans converging on Loop 101 at once makes a private bus from Party Bus Goodyear the smartest call you make before kickoff. Whether it is a Cardinals home opener, the December 30 Fiesta Bowl, a stadium concert, or a group celebration that happens to involve Arizona's NFL team, we have access to a full fleet of party buses, charter buses, minibuses, and Sprinter limos across the West Valley.
